NSPEC Innovations VRT – KRISS Vector Forced Reset Trigger
Unlock the ultimate fire rate potential of your KRISS Vector platform with the VRT (Vector Reset Trigger) from NSPEC Innovations. Manufactured from solid 316 stainless steel, the VRT is a forced reset trigger designed to enhance firing performance and deliver the smooth, rapid cycling intended for the Vector platform.
The VRT utilizes the firearm's cycling energy to mechanically push the trigger shoe forward into its reset position after each shot. It is an aftermarket forced reset trigger device—not a full-auto conversion—and maintains standard single-function firing requiring controlled trigger input.
Key Features & Specifications
- Solid 316 Stainless Steel Construction: Built for extreme durability, heat tolerance, and wear resistance.
- Precision Fitment: Tailored for the KRISS Vector fire control system to provide a crisp, positive forced reset.
- Universal Platform Support: Compatible across multiple KRISS Vector generations and calibers.
- 3 position & 2 position options: Run the VRT with your OEM safety (safe & forced reset modes only), or replace the factory safety selector for 3 position functionality (safe, semi, forced reset)
Platform & Caliber Compatibility
- Generations Supported: Gen 2, Gen 2.1, and Gen 3 KRISS Vector models.
- Gen 1 Compatibility: Gen 1 Vector models require upgrading to a Gen 2 semi-automatic Fire Control Group (FCG)
- Calibers Supported: .45 ACP, 10mm Auto, .40 S&W, and 9mm.
- 9mm Performance Recommendation: For optimal cycling reliability and positive forced reset operation in 9mm models, we strongly recommend upgrading to a 10mm main recoil spring.
Break-In & Pre-Installation Notes
The KRISS Vector platform operates best when fully broken in (approx. 350+ rounds) and properly lubricated prior to installing aftermarket forced reset trigger components.
- Fitting & Polishing: Light hand polishing of contact points may be required during test-fitting to ensure friction-free movement.
- Action Preparation: Polish the bolt lugs ("ears"), action rail guides, and trigger contact points. Ensure the host firearm is thoroughly cleaned of old carbon debris.
- Lubrication: Generous lubrication is mandatory during initial use and testing. High-temperature synthetic grease or ATF4 fluid is strongly recommended.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
- Clear the Firearm: Verify the chamber is empty, remove the magazine, and visually inspect the receiver.
- Disassemble Receivers: Separate the lower and upper receiver halves. Remove any optics, iron sights, and top rail assembly.
- Extract FCG: Remove the fire control group retention screws and lift the assembly out of the lower housing.
- Remove Factory Trigger: Disassemble the factory trigger shoe and disconnector.
- Install the VRT: Drop the NSPEC VRT into place and perform an initial dry fit.
- Manual Function Check: Manually actuate the hammer and trigger assembly to check for binding or resistance.
- Profile/Polish Contact Points: If resistance or drag occurs, remove the component and gently polish contact surfaces until operation is completely smooth.
- Reassemble & Lubricate: Reinstall the fire control group into the receiver, apply high-temp lubricant liberally, and reassemble the upper/lower halves.
Function Check & Live-Fire Testing Procedure
Bench Function Check
With the firearm reassembled and verified empty, pull the trigger and hold it back while manually cycling the action. As the bolt returns forward, you should feel a firm forced reset pressure driving the trigger shoe forward into its ready position.
Live-Fire Testing Steps
- 1 Round Test: Load 1 round in the magazine. Fire to confirm proper ejection and bolt lock-back.
- 2 Round Test: Load 2 rounds to test cycling reliability and forced reset consistency.
- 3 Round Test: Load 3 rounds to verify smooth, controlled string testing.
- Full Magazine Test: Load a full magazine to verify complete operational reliability.
If cycling issues occur during live-fire testing, stop and re-inspect component polishing, lubrication levels, and recoil spring weighting.
Return Policy
Unused, uninstalled, and unmodified parts in original condition may be returned subject to a 15% restocking fee. Components that have been installed, fitted, polished, modified, damaged, or live-fired are strictly non-returnable.
