How the Trigger Kicker Functions

The Trigger Kicker uses a clean, mechanical reset sequence between the hammer, safety selector, and bolt carrier group:

1. Hammer Reset Contact: As the rifle cycles and the bolt carrier drives the hammer backward, the hammer contacts the Trigger Kicker.
2. Active Trigger Reset: The kicker actively forces the trigger shoe forward into its reset position against the user's finger pressure.
3. Out-of-Battery Lockout: A lock step engages under the standard safety selector drum, holding the trigger in place while the action is open.
4. In-Battery Release: Once the bolt carrier returns fully into battery, it depresses the trip lever, releasing the Trigger Kicker so the next shot can be fired.

• Fire Control Group: Functions in standard mil-spec fire control groups with semiautomatic triggers and full-radius hammers. Compatible Schmid hammers are available at NSPEC Innovations for ideal geometry and clearance.
• Bolt Carrier Group: Requires a standard M16-cut / full-auto profile bolt carrier group with an intact lower trip surface. Semiautomatic cut or lightweight skeletonized carriers will not trip the mechanism.
• Safety Selector: Uses standard 90-degree throw mil-spec safety selectors.
• Alternative Platforms: Designed primarily for standard AR-15 uppers and lower receivers. Compatibility with AR-9s or non-standard platforms is currently experimental.
