Overview

• Works in all 10/22s, with minor fitting and polishing depending on generation, age, round count, and trigger pack.
• Made from 316SS stainless steel.
• Polish the bolt, hammer, FRT, and all parts contacting the FRT and hammer to a glass-smooth finish.

Be sure the firearm is broken in and functioning correctly before installing the parts. Adjusting the FRT for a new gun may have the reverse effect you are looking for. All new firearms have a break-in period.

This 10/22 FRT from NSPEC Innovations is built for shooters who want to enhance their Ruger® 10/22® rifle for improved fire rate.

The following parts are recommended, but not required, for improved performance:

• KIDD .22LR Bolt Buffer or similar
• Hardened Steel Eagle's Talon Extractor or similar
• Extractor Spring
• Upgraded Firing Pin

Tools for Solving Fitment Issues

These tools are not necessary in most cases:

• Razor blade – For precision shaping of reset lever contact surfaces.
• Sanding block, polishing pad, and file set – For smoothing contact points and rounding the rear underside of the bolt.

Compatibility

• Ruger® OEM trigger packs
• Ruger® BX® trigger packs
• Ruger 10/22 spec bolts
• Compatible with most 10/22 clones using OEM-style bolts and trigger packs

Other bolt or trigger designs may require additional fitting and have not been verified for compatibility.

Fitment & Tuning

Due to variations between 10/22 receivers, bolts, and trigger housings, minor fitting may be required.

Tasks may include:

• Profiling reset levers to avoid housing drag or binding.
• Rounding and polishing the underside and back of the bolt for smoother reset engagement.
• Adjusting lever timing for a clean, tactile reset without extra trigger drag.

Installation Guidance

This kit is intended for experienced users familiar with firearm assembly and light hand-fitting. Improper installation can cause malfunctions.

Recommended ammo: CCI Mini-Mag for optimal cycling.

Important: You must use a metal trigger shoe when using the steel reset lever.
